The Government is continuing to provide additional funding of £150 million per year to provide substantial primary school sport funding in order to improve the provision of physical education and sport in primary schools.
This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision for PE and sport in schools. Schools are held accountable for how we have used the additional funding to support pupils progress and participation in PE and school sport. Schools are also required to publish on-line information about how we have used the additional funding, including details about our sporting provision alongside curriculum details.
At Braywood we are usually allocated £8,540 a year. We have used that money in a variety of ways. Primarily we are part of the Windsor Sports Partnership, which provides high quality tutors, inter-school tournament and support with training for all staff. Money is used to replenish resources and support our in-school competitions. We get involved in a very wide variety of PE and sporting activities which is very popular with our parents and pupils.
